These are entrepreneurs that have started organizations that mainly target a social return on investment.
They operate in a wide range of business activities, such as:
agricultural development, trade, health care, energy/water supply, education, legal services, production, etc.
In size, these organizations vary from small to quite large, impacting the lives of between 100 and 1.5 million people.
In some cases, these organizations operate across international borders.
Most of these organizations depend upon philanthropic donors.
CrossLines Foundation wants to cooperate with others to ensure that the organizations founded by social entrepreneurs can survive on a purely economic basis.
